Technical education is considered one of the main pillars for supporting society with specialized expertise in various scientific and industrial fields, as it directly affects all aspects of cultural and material life, and works to enhance the cultural and material level of its workers. Based on this, Zarqa Intermediate Technical College began establishing the Engineering Department, which includes three main specializations: Renewable Energy Technology, Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Maintenance, and Architecture and Interior Design. In response to the increasing demand in the local and regional labor market for this type of specialization, the college added new departments, including: Arts Department, which includes the specializations of Digital Media and Animation Arts. Information Technology Department, which includes the specializations of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Engineering, and Cyber Security. Administrative Sciences and Languages Department, which includes the specializations of E-Business Management, Technical Accounting, and Applied English. This year, three new specializations were created: Dental Laboratory Technology, Occupational Health, Safety and Environment, and Customs and Tax Sciences. The college departments include a distinguished teaching staff and scientifically and practically qualified technical cadres, in addition to an advanced research center equipped with the latest equipment used in scientific measurement and analysis, applied and practical educational methods and modern simulation programs that are comparable to those found in global research centers, in addition to modern laboratories equipped with the latest technologies and software. The college has paid great attention through its council and those in charge of it and the laws and legislations supporting the acquisition of these modern technologies. Accordingly, distinguished scientific competencies were attracted from faculty members and technical cadres, and a specialized center was established equipped with all modern educational means, including a variety of vehicles and modern disassembly, assembly and inspection equipment according to the highest international standards and specifications in this field, with the provision of all safety equipment specific to this specialty. In addition, a group of modern classrooms equipped with the latest traditional and electronic education methods, and high-quality computer laboratories were established.
